Star Trek movie era minis
« on: October 31, 2024, 12:41:09 AM »
Does anybody know where I can find Star Trek movie era minis?

Specifically, Wrath of Khan uniforms.

Thanks!

Could have sworn Modiphius did...

Course, I think the scale is whack, and all their figs are TOS and TNG except for one...

KHAN!

Sorry.

RavenX on Gumroad sells stl files for Wrath of Khan, TOS and TNG figs for multiple races.

Thanks.

I think Sally 4th might do some as well; not-Trek obviously. And then there's that one, certain admiral, made by Victory Force in full-on "KHAAAAAANN!" pose! VF also do a small handful of Trek style cosplayers/costumed conventioneers in another range. The 'Monster Maroons' have most definitely been overlooked by manufacturers, which is a bit of a shame.

Oh man, I'm d-u-m dumb.  I asked this a while back.

https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=25329.0

Still want to know today's options.

Thanks heaps for the links.

Now, to find someone who will print up those .stl files as I have no printer.

Things mentioned that I didn't.

FASA ST product does come up now and then, last I saw was brutally expensive. True 25's as recall...

Also, FASA is alive in name, at least. Recent 'Leviathan' didn't even reference TOG that I noticed.

I THINK there were a few Wizkids movie ST figs, but delusional-m-me. See above.

Modiphius did a survey asking whether movie-era figures would be popular but, despite a positive response, chose not to do them. Also the heroclix range mentioned a movie-era set at some point that also got sidelined (possibly sales weren't as good as the starship range). I have some of the TOS and TNG heroclix figures and the TNG ones fit in quite well with the Modiphius ones although are significantly larger than the TOS ones, so I think if figures were to be done by either or both companies they'd likely be fairly compatible.

The FASA minis are very small 25mm, essentially 1/72 scale.

Lost Heresy also sells some STLs for the movie era.  Most of them are TOS, but look for "the alternate uniform" variants:

Because of this thread, I went out to once again try and find a box of the Modiphius Borg, which are woefully missing from my collection.

And then I found them as STL's on Drivethrurpg! I knew there had been talk about releasing the Modiphius Star trek minis as digitals, but I never realized they were actually available.

They have all the sets available there now, including the TOS sets. They don't have any movie era ones, but there is a set of iconic villains that includes Khan.

I will be getting the Borg set for sure and maybe some more as well :)

It's a shame that Lost Heresy killed his commercial license offering. Not having a 3d printer, it really scuppered my options for getting his figures printed by commercial 3d printers.

Nice to see some nice options, after waiting years for an official line and then two coming along at once that did the same two eras...

Likely not relevant for a site dedicated to 3D miniatures, but a fun thing, this paper standup Miniature Maker has uniforms for TWOK in its timeline.

That's pretty cool.  I wish I could make a 3D 28mm mini from them.

I believe you can get some 3D printer companies to print minis for you as long as you have the files.
