I plan on having a lesser load for the AHPC this winter and should have more time available for BSC 2025. As far as possible themes go...

Lights, camera, action

I am interested.  My fortified lamasery is currently on hold so I have room in my itinerary. I have no illusions of a win but I aways get a usable piece of terrain out of this contest.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Any thoughts on when it'd start?

Last years was March I believe.

For my part as long as I know a month or so in advance so I can plan around it would be cool.

Whilst I get it that the whole rational of BSC is to motivate people to get a bit of terrain on the board, it probably needs to be a bit more specific than the last round to function as a competition.

Finding a sweet spot for a theme just broad enough to lure people in while not being so broad that someone could enter pretty much anything and say 'yeah well someone do whatever the theme is there' seems to be quite tricky. What I am saying is if there is going to be a theme, it should be an entry requirement or possibly subject to some sort of handicap.

We all get to see the fruits of others labours, so maybe it's just a problem in my mind only.

I'm not sure we need a more specific theme to get better participation. I look at other contests I'm either participated in or watched, like the monthly Gaslands Car of the Month on the main Gaslands FB group. Their themes are very generic and get lots of people. I think the issue is more we just need for.keep attracting people to the forum to grow numbers and that involves being good ambassadors for LA. Part of that is also mentioning the competition in other places when it goes live.
