Power-Walking Treeman
« on: November 04, 2024, 12:37:59 PM »
Y'know, the freebies Althernative Armies throws into their orders don't usually appeal to me enough to make me pull the trigger all by themselves, but this month's is a rare exception.

Just truckin' along with a big old grin on his face, what's not to love?  Bit shrimpy for 28mm but he'll be a fine addition to my ever-growing grove of 15mm woodsy warriors.  Doesn't hurt that they've got 20% seasonal sale going over the same time period, that'll almost make up for the agonizing overseas shipping.

He's certainly trunkin' along  :D

Regarding his height and overall presence though; he'd be better off joining my 4th/5th edition Dryads rather than their contemporary treemen, as he's more along those lines, bulkwise.

But a fun miniature nonetheless :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Time to branch out it seems, with the speed he's going at.

Yeah, he's a wee sapling by modern 28mm treeman standards, but if you go back to metals he'd be a good fit for the WFB Dryads.  Similar sculpting style, too.

Looks fine and dandy for 15mm, regardless.  He ought to look nice next to my Splintered Light ones.

Reminds me of the Julia Donaldson character "stick man".

my first thought was "Groot", might snaffle one for Stargrave...

He's a cool mini, just can't get past the arms and legs moving in the same position, helps with casting though I imagine.
