Very nice bit of work Tony, a fitting tribute to Mr Weekley.

Dangerous things Windmills, apparently they kill wales or drive them insane over in the US.

Not so. the windmill can be broken down into three pieces, the base and the post, the main wooden mill body or building and the sails which slot into a pen barrel and allow the sails to revolve.

An earlier windmill that I built didn't have this break down and yes it was a pain to store.

I have the old Dapol plastic windmill and it resolved the storage issue itself by breaking into a similar set of constituent parts within its box. Glue has remedied this but I rather wish I had had the sense to do what you have done with yours and engineered it's ability to separate the main components.
