Hinchliffe figures availability, post 1700
« on: November 12, 2024, 09:28:14 PM »
Dear fellow wargamers,
do you have any news about the Hinchliffe napoleonic and colonial figure lines, 'post-1700', which were available at the S&A scenics site? They do not show up. Are they still available?
Many thanks for letting me know.
Best,
stefanov

I don't know, I have been picking up odd bits from e-bay.
What are you looking for?
And...where abouts are you? I am in the UK. (Rugby)

I suspect that S&A simply haven't had time to update their new site with the figures - they say coming soon.

I'd just email them and ask...

Dear all,
Thank you for your suggestion of calling S&A, indeed that simple.
I live in the Geneva Switzerland area.

I have a lot of unpainted Hinchliffe 25mm Napoleonic figures (including some exquisite Foremost figure) that I can sell if you are interested. They are mostly French, British, Prussians and some allied Brunswickers etc in units for the Waterloo campaign.  I am in Canada so, the postage might be expensive.

If you are seriously interested in buying them, I will compile a list for you over the next day or two.

Isn't Hinchcliffe still part of Hinds Figures? I seem to recall they were. Not sure if he casts to order but enquire at Hinds Figures

Hinds sold them off ages ago, Lancashire Games bought the older periods and S & A for the later periods. :)

Thanks Swiftnick. The Martians don't seem to be out, but a
note on the web-site says he hopes to release them soon.
I have dashed off an e-mail & I'll pass on any news I get.

Prompt reply from Mike McGuinness at Broadsword miniatures.

Hello Peter, thanks for your interest.
I've just taken delivery of the first new mould, which contains the white and red Martians and the smaller Thoat . I'll be testing this out a week on Saturday all being well.

There may be an issue with the lower lead content of modern metal and the very fine swords of some of the figures, but I'm hoping I can overcome any problems.

I can supply the 2 green Martians from existing old moulds which are just about functioning still (£3.50 each).
Other creatures in the range will hopefully fit into another mould if the first lot prove popular.

So good news. :D

These are great news!
May you post photos of the miniatures currently available to order?
Many thanks,
Stefano

I can't, haven't got any...yet.
Will hope to post some pictures of the Green Martians when I've got & painted them. :)
