Does anyone know the current status of Stonehouse Miniatures? I was hoping to acquire one of their rather wonderful steam elephants but haven't heard a dicky bird in reply to any queries.

If they have any connection with John Stonehouse you can expect them to fake their own death and do a midnight flit to Australia.  In which case they are probably best contacted via your nearest Czech Embassy.

Yeah, understood. I actually sent them money via PayPal, just over a month ago. I've tried twice through their online form on the web page and once through their eBay account. I don't actually want to cancel the PayPal money, as I believe that this is bad for their rep with PayPal but ... well, if they won't reply at all, it's what I'm going to have to do.
