Apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum.
In 28mm I've been slowly painting the Irish regiments in Louis XIVs service c1706. Eventually I've finished them and ought to add some cavalry but I don't want to paint them myself (have never liked painting horses) and in any event my eyesight isn't what it used to be.
My painting style is 'best looked at from at least 3 feet/1 metre in subdued lighting'. I've never got into washes, lining, etc so I suppose it's all pretty basic. I'm in the UK
What I'm thinking of is 20 figures painted as Sheldon's/Nugent's Horse c1706 plus a further 4 figures to be brigade level officers which I can use for English/French as necessary. Basing would be nice too. I've picked out some figures from Ebor Miniatures which I like. Three figures (officer/trumpeter/cornet) will be for an English regiment which has the same facings so I can split the unit. I've not worked out the English regiment to see which flag to acquire.
I'd be interested to see any quotes so that I can work out if this is more wishful thinking on my part. There's no urgency for these to be done.
Grateful thanks in advance to anyone replying.
