New Copplestone Interwar tanks
« on: December 02, 2009, 02:55:29 PM »
Perfect for my souped up Bukharian Army!!   :-*

e-mail sent by Mark C:

"Hi

Richard Kemp has been working away at a whole new range of WW1 and Interwar armoured vehicles - all in 1/55th scale.

The first one is available now:

K50 Vickers Medium Mark III - a great-looking prototype British tank of the interwar years

http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/latest.php

Coming next - available by the end of the week - is the huge, 5-turreted, W40k-ish Vickers Independent. Have a sneak peak:

For more information about both of these tanks have a look at these Wiki pages:

Don't forget our existing Vickers Medium Mk. II

I saw them some days ago. But I think they are really expensive. Compared to the other stuff from Copplestone. I've to think a while about it...

Of course these tanks are expensive but you need to understand that they are not "main stream stuff"… In order to break even, or make some money out of it, he need to ask for a higher price. The chances of selling a lot of them is more limited that it would be for, let's say, a Sherman WWII tank…

Just received a newsletter mail from CC that the Independent is for sale and retails for 35 GBP. Not as bad as feared, and I think I may get one since I was really tempted today to seriously get involved in this VBCW business... although some submarines are needed much more dearly than a tank, just to curb those naval ambitions.

I've bought one of each of the new tanks, and they are worth the money in my opinion. I'm thinking of buying more for an alt history campaign I'm planning.

I'm also very eager to see what he brings out next.
