28mm Modern lorries
« on: December 14, 2024, 04:43:36 PM »
Some people might have a need for large civilian vehicles in 28mm scale for various genres.
Discovered this pack of three lorries in 1/55 scale on Amazon for only £14.99
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DFLZJBY1?
Rear bodies are held on with screws so can easily be replaced.

Tanker lorry compared to a 1/56 scale Ratel 20. Both vehicles are in line at the rear.

Those are great - I found some similar ones on Aliexpress years ago for a similar price.

Who makes the Ratel?
Em dezembro de '81
Botou os ingleses na roda
3 a 0 no Liverpool
Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual
Só o Flamengo é campeão mundial
E agora seu povo
Pede o mundo de novo

The Ratel was made by Badger 3D before they crashed.

Nice, that makes it worse as they decamped owing me a large order.  Cunts.

Oddly enough, a lot of what appeared to be designs unique to them have popped up on Etsy under another printers name. Might be a legit reason for that, ie licensed stls but the similarity between the catalogue of prints on sale looks a bit suspicious to me, right down to the NI range which I think was exclusive to them.

Sorry to hear that, likewise I had an order in when they crashed.
If you are referring to an Etsy seller "OM" they have a comment such as this on their models
"This model was developed by the now defunct Badger 3D. I am slowly opening up alternative scale options on a make to order basis. "
Though they don't seem to be doing 1/56 scale.
