Nice👍 So the signs are etched in the mdf? And you have to paint them in? I can see that would be quite a faff. Came out well, though. Reminds me that I need a 1930s garage/petrol station.

Thank you very much Gunbird!

It was worth the effort, let's say that  ;).

Thank you very much Sir!

Well, the green background bits are grey card, so separate bits. At least I could spray the green and the red bits separately, but all the lettering and the lines I painted in by hand. Slow and steady was the way forward and I nearly mounted a sign upside-down  :o. Luckily I realised that mistake before my "Strong as an Ox" PVA glue had set properly  lol. But for £19 for the kit, I have no reason to complain!

Congrats to you on persevering through on that lettering. I would have been tempted to just print it out and glue it over the etched lettering...  :D

Thank you, thank you very much sir!  lol

I think it contributes to the "rustic, slightly worse off than brand new" look in the post apocalypse landscape  lol.

Finished painting up the 4 plastic vehicles that comes in the Mantic Walking Dead Scenery Pack. Very good value for the money, as the pack also contains 6 barricades and 10 Supply Markers. Those I'll do another day.

I first sprayed the vehicles in the designated colour and painted in tyres, hub caps, lights and windshields. I found a simple tutorial for windshields online (black, dark blue and streaks with lighter blue/ white), which turned out ok. I finished off with splashing some watered down Armypainted Rust effect paint on them.

As the Brits say: "that'll do!"

I have that same set - I agree, it is definitely worth getting. Yours look great, as do the windshields. Nicely done!

Thank you for your kind words sir! The collection is coming together nicely and I have a few things en route (Hasslefree minis, a helicopter + motorcycle model kit and Bachmann O scale trailer park).

I aim to buy a couple of Eureka minis bicycles and an ATV or two, but after that, I have pretty much everything I need for the collection. Just need to assemble and paint the bits I have left to do. April still holds as "deadline" (personally imposed to get things done).

The rest of the Mantic Walking Dead Scenery Pack painted and varnished. 6 barricades and 10 Resource Markers. Andrea from Mantic AOWTWD, who's becoming a bit of a poster girl for my stuff to show how it all scales.

Great progress on this thread.   Love the cars.  I will need to take a look for that kit.

Cheers Easy E!

That Mantic scenery kit is very well worth the money. You get 2 trucks, 2 sedans, 6 barricades and 10 resource markers. Here in the UK they are in the region of £25-30.
