The Trojan Wars

Happy new year to everyone.  I am currently reading the the lovely Midgard Heroic Battles and it got me thinking about the Trojan Wars. I have been looking online at the few 28mm manufacturers and 3d printed minis for inspiration. Can anyone make any recommendations?

Speaking of the Late Bronze Age?

Then for me the best range to date is by Wargames Foundry (not Casting Room!). All metal Perry sculpts, heavily inspired by Peter Connolly's artworks, thus rooted in decent research. (That is, as far as one takes Homer's fiction for a historical event of the 1100s BCE.) Beware, though, that they are 'proper' 28mm minis, dwarfed by the likes of Steve Saleh's Ziggurat/Lucid Eye models.

I tried Redoubt, too. Unfortunately, the range was plagued by miscasts, i. e. some headless or otherwise distorted minis throughout. Prints by Wargames Atlantic are a 'best value' option. I just find their 3d sculpts often over-animated and less historically accurate in detail.

Thanks for the quick response, I am currently looking at the  Foundry minis. They are fantastic and I have many of their other ranges but as suggested are a tad short. But if they have the models then that will work. Only looking to paint up about 40 models as a tester.

Wargames Foundry are great, but as Mad Doc Morris says, slighter than a lot of more modern ranges. They work well with Newline, but Newline can be a bit stiff and static. Redoubt are... Redoubt. Some are fantastic, some are a bit mediocre, most will have a lot of flash to remove. The Lucid Eye stuff is splendid - if a bit stylised. Eureka's range is pretty brilliant, and scale well with Lucid Eye.

In comparison my own attempt at this topic is pitiful and altogether not well documented. So here's just a snapshot of a participation game we did back then. If only to underline that the Foundry range offers easily enough variation for about 40 models per side, a size we aimed for in our game.

Thanks for all your responses. In regards to Lucid eye minis. I thought he only did Sea People and Amazons.

There is No Doubt the Foundry Figures are Wonderful , especially their Heroes what did you expect they are Perrys .. 
However the fact is they do not do a Full Range .
The Only Manufacturer that does is Redoubt .
If  you Dont Consider and include  them, then you are doing yourself a disservice ..have a look.

I had a Foundry Trojan army that I sold many years ago and of course I wish I still had it as they were lovely figures. If I was to do it again I would probably go Redoubt for cost, variety and large figures are easier to paint.

Thanks for all your comments. I have recently looked at warlord games biblical range which are cutting edge miniatures. They look to cover many Bronze Age armies and I am interested in the quality of the miniatures

Horses for courses.

The ones I have seen are not really to my taste being much slighter and more static than other ranges. Of course, painted up they still look good on the table.
