Small Mutant Year Zero Project
« on: January 03, 2025, 09:23:28 PM »
I picked up a copy of Mutant Year Zero Zone Wars and the expansion box for Robots and Psionics just before Christmas. I thought I'd post some pics of some of the minis I have painted. I haven't had chance to play it yet but it looks like good fun.

They are really nice minis to paint, not overly complex but nicely detailed.
I've just got the psionic mutants to go.

Thanks mate. The boar is my favourite mini and one of the reasons I got interested in the game! (Him and the duck obviously!!!)

They're nice, I can see why you like them, quite different.

The boar and the duck are really cool, but I'm impressed by the checks you've painted on the moose/elks jacket, excellent.

Piick of the bunch for me is the hunched over skull faced robot, very menacing.

Looking forward to the Psionics.

Thanks, the checks were a bit of a pain but I have been painting up a load of ancient Celts so I have had a bit of practice!!!

Thank BZ, glad you like them. I totally agree about the lack of recognition. I only stumbled across it when I saw a picture of the duck with the crossbow.

That's some very nicely painted miniatures Pappa Midnight!  :-*

I've played the RPG (in Swedish mind you  ;)) and I've played the console game Road to Eden, where the Duck and the Boar are the main protagonists. I don't need another project as I try to focus on one at a time, but man, that's some very nice stuff and I've heard very good things about the game as well.

How's that card terrain working out btw? Would you mind showing some pictures please? And if it's not too much trouble, what scale would the game work with? 28mm? Heroic? 35mm?

Thanks , I'm glad you like them. Weird you asked about the terrain, I was going to put it together today!!!
When I've assembled it I'll take some photos. Scale wise they are closer to 35mm ( similar to new Zombicide scale).
I will take some comparison shots.

In the mean time a quip pic of my finished Psionics.

All these figures look good.  But for some reason, every time I see that moose, I think he oughta have a squirrel with him... 8)
