Da-da-dum da-da-dum da-da dum dum dum.

Looks quite good.  Certainly, one to watch.   I only wish mail wasn't treated like soggy cardboard against swords.  Ben Kingsley in a movie could mean it is great or absolutely awful (how has such a good actor been in so much dross).

Looks like your usual hollywood romp to me- doubt it'll blow my mind but I'll probably check it out anyways :)

Yeah, regretfully, that's exactly how I felt about that trailer.
Just feel like I've seen it all before, with the same characters, same tropes, the same plotline, the same set piece encounters.
Don't like feeling like that, but I I do.
And what's with the silly gold eye thing!?
The tell-tale bit were words 'Based On The Legend'. The word 'Based' is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.
Not one for me.

"Based on" means nothing in film- if I hadn't heard of William Tell before I'd say "based on" meant there was a guy with a crossbow, at some point. lol

I have good memories of a rather campy TV-series called Crossbow. Also 'based on the legend'. Had a killer intro tune! So being the sucker for swords (and bows!) that I am, I will probably be watchng this with a bag of crisps and a beer late at night at some point... :D

 lol

That's the one! What can I say; it's even worse than I remember. But 13 year old me gobbled it up like a split apple  :D

Love the metallic logo though, and the synth tune still kind of rocks  ;)

Sorry but it looks like another Hollywood turd. Fake London "gangster" accents, everyone dressed in black, brown and dirt, the renowned Swiss mountain cavalry, obligatory girl bosses, zero historical accuracy. All in all it looks like a poorly conceived fantasy film.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Assuming it's free, I will probably eventually watch it just to fast forward through the fight scenes. Probably while enjoying a cold beverage and mocking any plot I accidentally watch.   lol

Some audiences want entertainment rather than a documentary and it being “based on a legend” suggests the former; I can live with that. The inclusion of the “we are all William Tell” Spartacus line was quite amusing.
