There's this kickstarter from 2020 by already mentioned Meridian miniatures:

If you don't believe in lead, you're already dead.

In 15mm I found these old school Bob Olley sculpts by Checkpoint Miniatures. Their site won't let my share images.

I'm going to continue my search alone, in the wilderness, for the bugbears I'm after.

But this thread has turned into a great listing of bugbear figs out there, so I'm going to add a few from posts on other forums in case it will help future seekers:

The Essex bugbears are worth a mention. They're about the same size as the Crooked Claw ones, and they mix in with them well enough. The Essex ones are old but quite charming, and they hold up well today:

Apropos of nothing, I am reminded of a chap I used to work with who liked to use the word "bugbear" in conversation, quite rightly as he was often complaining about things.

Except he was thick as mince  and always pronounced it "bugger-bearer", presumably because he was likening whatever was bothering him to being sodomised by the person you are trying to give a friendly piggyback to...

Those Essex bugbears do like nice.

I don't think it's acceptable to not find the bugbears you are looking for! Let's all keep looking. If nothing else, this is becoming a good source for bugbears miniatures.
