My first 3D print - 10mm Chinese/Korean
« on: January 21, 2025, 03:24:28 PM »
Whilst searching for my next 10mm project I came across a seller on evil bay offering 3D prints of various ancient Chinese/Far Eastern miniatures. They were offered in 28mm, 20mm, 15mm and 10mm and to be honest my thoughts were, yeh they will be pretty good in 28mm but I doubt they will translate to 10mm. I ordered some anyway  ;D.
Well they arrived and I was blown away, the detail was all there and the prints were exceptionally clean. The seller had removed 95% of the supports too.
If anything they were too good. I was thinking there is no way I am going to be able to paint them. Well last night I had a go at the first one and here is my ham fisted, half blind attempt.

cheers

A great sculpt for 10mm.

Am I the only who was expecting the 1950 Korean war.  ;)

He looks great. Exaggerating the tail on the polearm to reach the figures head is a clever piece of sculpting, obviously the designer thought about the slender weapon shaft in the smaller scales.

Are you doing Tang?

Great stuff!

Do you have a link / brand to the seller or the range?
