(Commercial) 28mm AWI Building Kits
« on: January 23, 2025, 01:40:00 PM »
In anticipation of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord (April 19, 1775) we have released new laser-cut kits for 28mm figures:

Old Belfry

Hancock-Clarke House

Jacob Whittemore House

Jacob Whittemore Barn

Outbuilding #1

Outbuilding #2

Outbuilding #3

Thematically they perfectly match our already existing kits:

Hartwell Tavern

Captain William Smith House

(Old) North Bridge / Concord River Bridge

Highly detailed 28mm laser-cut MDF kits with moveable doors, removable second floors and roofs. The kits are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Very nice.

Wish someone, hint, would do a frontier trading post in 28mm.

The buildings from "Things" capture the look of 18th century American buildings.  Likely because they're based on the real thing.  Except for perhaps Charlie Foxtrot's models, and some of Hovels buildings, they far surpass other manufacturers' attempts at this time and place.   A good example is the new barn, which is a good representation of an English colonial barn.  The door is on the long side, not the gable side.  Its sheathed in wooden shakes.

While I love these buildings, they are a bit large.  My buildings are Hovels and home made, both have smaller footprints, and these would dwarf them.
