28mm Scythian Ranges
« on: April 17, 2025, 04:54:42 PM »
Hi,

I am aware of the Victrix plastics box, the Wargames Foundry, 1st Corps, Old Glory and Newline ranges. Wondered if there are any others I have missed?

Chiltern and Warlord make some, though I'm not sure how easy they are to get now, I've seen some on Ebay.

I think the Warlord figures may actually be Sarmatians. Very similar to Scythians but nominally several hundred years apart.

Warlord do Parthian light horse. Nominally a Skythian tribe so I use them for both. They are superb figures but very realistically proportioned, so will not mix well with many other ranges…

Old Glory's Skythians are one of their better ranges.  I liked the riders but would use horses from other manufacturers.

I second Tin Soldier. The pics on the website don't do justice to the figures. There are also Brittania which are a bit chunkier.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.
