As to pilots and crew - khaki covers a lot of ground for you!

I'd perhaps aim for steppe from a basing perspective - which should allow you to get away with use in the desert and the jungle.

For more remote areas, I think hangers were quite uncommon. Even most WWII airbases didn't have that many hangers available, let alone front line air strips.

I don't know if Sarissa Precision(or anyone else) makes one of these in 15mm but something like this model of a WW2 hangar on a south pacific island appropriate:

Sadly Sarissa does not. Even a 20mm version would be very helpful I reckon, and you can send requests/ideas to them.

Thx to this thread I refound my busted Plasticville Hangar, but the roof was in pieces and no longer fixable, so that will get a modified tin sheetroof for my collection and a modified doorway.
