Yes, the suggestion of unit cards (real or virtual) in the book is a good one.

There does not appear to be a quick reference sheet in the book.
Yeah - I've got 4 or 5 bookmarks in mine at the moment! Putting the weapon details on the unit card is a very good idea, or a multi-page qrs with the weapons and traits all on the same page - it took me hours to find those weapon tables the first time; I was becoming convinced that there would be a single line buried in the text saying "please refer to the 5PFH rulebook for weapons and traits".

How good are Modiphius at releasing support stuff like qrs pdf's and suchlike?

So I ordered an Anvil British Space Force gun carriage from their print on demand range together with a pair of 16mm modern wheels and the autocannon.

Here it is dry fitted, with a Stargrave Trooper.

I am not sure how to crew this weapon.

The options are use a kneeling Anvil figure (not sure about the particular theme) or fit electronic sights and servos together with Stargrave troopers with remote controls.

I would always go with remote control in a sci-fi weapon if at all possible - easier to paint without a crew figure on one side, looks just as good and you can re-arrange all the crew if they get into close combat, for example. Plus there are enough r/c gubbins on the Stargrave sprue to equip the whole crew.
Very nice model though, I'm suddenly feeling a little, erm exposed - need more weapon teams!  lol

It might help if you had actually got his name right - Dameon not 'Damon', as in Dameon Craig Reynolds - if you can't get the details right, people will assume you've got everything wrong in your post. Just a friendly heads up, not a criticism.

Yes, I got his name wrong, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows who I'm talking about.

And you can say, it's just a friendly heads up, but it's pretty clear it's a criticism.

If you can't get the details right, people will assume you've got everything wrong in your post. ;)

Sorry for derailing your thread UVS. Won't happen again.

Yes, please keep this on topic.  I'll see if the Hasslefree tangent should be split off later.

One more Converted.

And yes, the new figure should have had an LMG.

And a medic Trooper.

This Trooper is part of a weapon team, but is dealing with a more immediate threat.

You maybe asking why there is no collective shot of these two figures?

Well, for reasons lost in the mists of time, I decided to base my figures for Rogue Stars on 30mm lipped bases. When Stargrave came out, I decided to continue doing so (having a number of figures actually painted and based on 30mm bases).

Unfortunately, I have run out of them at the moment, and, well, the two trooper figures have been base sharing.

I must have a couple of hundred lipped bases that I'll never use as I don't care for them. Do you want to swap them for 25mm rounds?

Thanks Hubbabba, but I base my Oathmark (and ultramoderns and Quar...) on Renedra 25mm round bases so I have to buy more of them than I get from the Stargrave boxes.

Pretty much everything I've got goes on flat Renedra bases of one size or another - I've never been much of a fan of those 'plinth' style slottabases.
Well this does give me a chance to pull ahead in this htpothetical arms race - I finished assembling 4 squads of Infantry the other day, which now need a bit of paint slapped on, and I've been resurrecting and painting a Grymm armoured car!  lol

I am never going to win any painting races, today not helped by the distraction of some tortured souls.

If it's any consolation, I got distracted as well. I put some of the metal figures into dettol to clean off previous paint and I stumbled across some figures I'd put by in a box. A quick rebasing later and I have the start of a Soulless army for Tactics (more once I figure out where I put the other sprues) - finally found a use for Warlord Cybermen!  lol

So, I first posted on this at the beginning of June.
The plan is eleven figures a side as a starter (minimum size for a skirmish).
So at this production speed, that will be four and a half years before both sides are painted.

Quote
The analysis section had highlighted an increase in missing persons in the area around the pumping station (itself not far from where the pod from The Converted had landed - and supposedly sanitised)

As was standard protocol when dealing with a potential Converted incursion, we were dropped off a distance from the target location and had to approach on foot (to prevent the subversion of the transport and any escape out of the cordon area).

We knew we had the right place when a command node stepped out of the control building and started firing.

The body is from the Scavengers set, the shotgun arms from the Crew set and the head from the Automata set
