Nice work on that Prussian/German type, clever mix of kit pieces and scratchbuilding.

Good stuff! For the cuffs of the Prussian - what is the white material you have used to build these up?

The Russians look oddly like French Foreign Legion , I think its the combination of the red trousers and the kepis with neck guards (even though FFL tend to be depicted with white trousers).

Thank you) the white modeling material is a MODEL that is sold in Russia, an analog of Green Staff.

Thanks - I think the colour threw me off - I wondered if it was plastic card.

Alas, my Russian studies are over a half a century ago. Rusty doesn't approach covering.

I am glad I wasn't the only one that saw FFL with those. Too many old movies on my part, I suppose. Though I do recall a western with a calvary officer wearing a kepi and neck drape.

Similarly with English, I'm watching a video with an auto-translator.

The Zouaves. A small conversion of zouaves. Actually, the miniatures of Zouave Perry on the American Civil War of 1861-1865. But desire, and a little opportunity, and a little imagination and beats, can turn them into French Zouaves. He gave them a Chaspeau rifle, and a trumpet from the British (a set of Perry's British infantry). An experiment with a backpack, actually from the French Perry to the Franco-Prussian. I didn't change the flasks, because it was fantastic (except for the guy with the satchel). Although the historical fact is that the United States supplied Fraetsu in 1870-71, they could have brought their own flasks. Great miniatures. #Victorian Fantasy #perryminiatures
