I dont know how popular this is but I have caught 2 episodes over the last couple of nights on Bravo Station (in UK)

It is very Manga but with a darker side. Plot set in a futrue, post apolalypse?? which is full of Ninja and samurai who tote all sorts of weapons, anyway little boys dad is top samurai (equate with gunfighter) is killed by mysterious man) son finds teacher then once grwon goes for revenge.

gory and fast paced, got me thinking about samurai with a difference...

It's an awesome cartoon. Caught an episode myself recently. Well done.

Not 100% sure but looks like the same animation as in the series "Samurai Champloo" which is also an amazing anime series.
