Blue Stuff and F&IW
« on: September 06, 2025, 06:16:50 AM »
As a retirement project, I have got hold of some Spencer Smith plastics and intend to produce a couple of dozen F&IW figure for skirmish games, using Blue Stuff and two-part epoxy putty. First up, a mounted officer that after moulding will be converted to a ‘raised arm, eyes shielded, peering into distance’ pose.
Watch this space.

My first attempt did not ‘mould’ very easily to the figure. It seems I’d forgotten to cut the Blue Stuff into smaller pieces before putting into hot water.
Second attempt with small pieces and water just off the boil worked much better.

Second half of the mould applied. Exciting times :-)
