Hearts' Old West Project
« on: September 16, 2025, 01:49:56 PM »
Good morning all,
What a bleak week it was waiting for the site to come back. Cheers to a smooth transition.
I got it in my head after my success with the fantasy terrain, to revamp/replace my Old west terrain with something a little more robust. I currently have a smatterering of 4ground and sarissa buildings but I find them a little fiddly with all of the individual stairs and boardwalks and such. I realize I could probably glue a little more together but I wanted to explore some options.
After looking around I went ahead and purchased the "mega bundle" from Digital Taxidermy and started printing a few buildings. I think I'm shooting for about a dozen all told plus some scatter and such. for now though, here's a quick photo of some printed buildings.

So far I think I like them? They need tree supports to print, which is a first for me but i think they general print well. I had one major failure but I think it was during the filament change after the current roll ran out.

Theres a little of everything so to speak in the range. I think whatever rules I end up with I'll keep the building rules simple with something like how bolt action does it, (one man to a window or something)
