Khurasan Miniatures has expanded its 15mm Punic and Macedonian Wars range with two new sets -- Ligurian foot warriors, and Libyan veteran spearmen with long spears.

Ligurians were a fierce tribal people living in what is now Northwestern Italy, and allied to both sides in the Second Punic War.  They were right there to the bitter end, at Zama.  They later were subdued by the Romans after a long, bitter conflict, and provided the Romans with high quality subject troops.

Design note: Since the publication of "Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars" in the 1980s, much new information is available about the Ligurians, and we wish to thank the book's author, Duncan Head, for his help in recreating these redoubtable warriors.
