Bamboo mats can also be used to make great rope bridges. Saves a lot of tying of the bits. Here's a couple of them put together by a friend of mine from bamboo sushi mats using chopsticks and string:

Yeah, they're normally for blast templates, but I'm not quite sure what the application is here.

The templates represent the "enemy patrols". Groups of NPC searching for intruders. In play they are wandering perilous areas.
