Now it sounds really interesting! No idea if there is a market for that sort of adventure but I would be tempted to play it for sure.

Thanks, Prof.

Yes, I'm about at the same point. There are plenty of references to Cthulhu related encounters throughout history in Lovecraft and others, but I wonder how many folks would actually buy Roman (or other pre-Modern)  era Cultists, investigators, etc. Possibly at least a small number, but not sure if it'd be enough to justify an investment. Hard to say.

I for one would love to see a range of figures for the servitor races. A variety of "arms" or "poses" would lend some nice variety to the one each currently available in most any line. Being able to have some of them at Tasks when encountered by the adventurers, using "things" or tools. If done in plastic a single sprue could be used for probably 2 servitor races each, also allowing for the creation of hybrid or exsperiments gone wrong... or right ;)

I'm speaking of appropriate investigators, civilians, victims, cultists, and perhaps a monster now and then. The Foundry civilians are pretty minimal, and most of them are dressed incorrectly, unfortunately.

Sounds interesting, but I wonder how profitable it would be to market as "Ancients Cthulhu."  Seems like most of the humans at least would work for any ancients game, so why not market it as a generic ancients range and then have a small specialty Cthuloid sub-range?

I've got a few ideas for posessed corpses that will be generic and definitely cthonic, should fit into any era (think zombies and dessicated - barely more than skeletons - bodies with tentacles coming out of them all over).

Something for some sort of Cult of Worms thing or other... not sure where exactly I plan on going with it, but could be fun...

Just to be honest with you, Doc....  Not really.
Kinda niche market at best, and I really cannot see a lot of them being sold/gamed.
Just my 2 cents.  I don't want to see you taking a big hit...

I guess, I really don't want you to stop your great other ranges! lol  I should be posting my pics of Abel soon...

Fair enough:)

The other ranges won't be cancelled, regardless of what we've got simmering on the backburner. I've simply got some ideas I wanted to throw at the wall and see if they stick.

As far as ancient civilians, some armed some not, Foundry may have pre-empted this desire.

New release of farmers, townsfolk, slaves, nobles, ladies, etc, etc.  Some of these guys seem like they would make good Invictus investigators.

Yes, I have just bought that collection with the 20% discount that was on before Xmas. They have done a very nice range but I was thinking of some "outside the square" type figures that would suit Cthulhu but not a normal Civilian range.

The selection is fairly poor, and the few folks who aren't armed are wearing Senatorial robes. Not particularly useful, unfortunately.

Apart from the street traders, there isn't much in the way of "everyday" folk in any Ancient Civs collection. At least Foundry have done something towards it. Still want to see some Steve Barber spectators figures in the flesh to see what they are like.

Reminds me of World War Z, with the excerpt about a legion vs a horde of Germanic zombies.

(LOL!  It described the Legionares as nonplussed, just another foe to vanquish sort of attitude)

Would be fun to play, but I doubt I'd invest in new minis for it. Personally I'd probably just make due with using the ancients I already have.
