Of course you are right, but then again this is not Elvis.

And there was no nuclear apocalypse in 1957 either, nor was Nixon the President (yet.)

Atomic Cafe 1957 is a fictional game meant to bring fun and playability to wargaming set in an era where the paranoia about nuclear war started to become significant. The timeline allowed us to incorporate many ideas and things we remember from the period in the game.

You can paint the King of Cool any way you want. The original intent however was in an Army uniform. Fantastic job Grimm.

Have fun all and play the game.

That was sort of my point really, we aren't dealing with the real, but with the whatever we want it to be. I'd imagine that every town had it's own Elvis-alike or King of Cool anyway. Certainly Milwaukee's was shorter and older though.  :D

The Army "made Elvis" as an adult man

Or, as some have said, made him into a middle-of-the-road conformist.

He lost his edge after his army days. It may have made him more mature (whatever that means) but arguably it diminished him as a performer.

Anyway, nice looking figure - good work.

The Nuclear Holocaust "made Elvis" as an adult man and martial artist.

Nixon made himan honorary Bureau of Narcotics Dangerous Drugs agent.  Badge and all.  He actually got to use it once to stop a small plane carrying one of his roadies who had escaped with some of the King's property.  The pilot stopped and the Memphis Mafia extracted their pound of flesh.
This is my boomstick!

Maybe this is what he'd wear when crowned King in Vegas.
