Mutineer British

My intention is to use these for the Chinese Expedition but they will probably still be used for India also.

Oh how I wish I could take photographs >:(

It seems to have gone a little quiet on the Mutineer front. Hopefully now x-mas is gone we will get to see the British command mentioned months ago.

It has all gone dead rather, hasn't it. I was impatiently awaiting the release of the officer types, but I have kind of lost interest in it now.

Svennn

The photo looks fine to me - well focussed and cropped. It just needs a plain background or one of those snazzy blue fading to white jobs to concentrate the eyes on the subject.

Another lovely figure, by the way. I do like those  brown tunics with the red facings  :)

Strong work Svennn! :-*  Your photograph is actually quite nice.  It is in focus and clearly shows the detail of the miniature and your excellent painting.  As previously suggested, I also think you just need a better backdrop to perfect the photograph.

I also was really happy when I heard about this range but honestly if they don't stick to some kind of release schedule I can't see them being too successful.
People want to paint up forces they can game with... not be waiting for months for future releases.  Hopefully Mutineer will correct this.  At this rate I will have retired before they ever get around to doing Gurkhas! :(

the paintjob is great and I can't complain about the photograph...
Only that light backgrounds should be used for painted miniatures, because the shades otherwise merge with the darkness, unless You want to compose a Rembrandt-style picture and not reveal the brushwork  ;)

Very timely

Thanks for the comments chaps :)

With regard the photo - its just that I feel the colours and overall effect just do not show up like they do on the mini. I will try some proper shots, where I use a little patience instead of point and click, when I get the first unit done and see if I can get better results.

Oh joy. There's two chaps among that lot who will make perfect 1850s Brit officers moonlighting as African explorers with Burton and Speke.

Project's back on. I'll start cleaning up some more Somalis after work tonight!  :) :)
