Hello and 15mm Sci-Fi
« on: January 15, 2010, 11:58:57 PM »
Hi guys
This is my first day on the forum, and given where my current interest lies, most of my time I think will be spent here in the Future Wars area.  On my first posting here I thought I'd share some of my enthusiasm for 15mm sci-fi with you, and couple of pictures of recent AFVs I've finished.
-
Recent purchases have been from a company called Critical Mass Games.  I just finished these Heavy Grav Tanks this month.
-

-

-
Before X-Mas I was assembling these walkers
-

-
and doing this short stop-motion movie with them in...
-

-
Kind regards to all

If you ever run out of storage space, you can always send those tanks to me and I shall give them a good home!  ;) They are really nice.

Cheers,

They look very interesting - haven't really seen much of them before.

GZG, do a nice range of Grav vehicles.  Here's part of my collection.  15mm sci-fi has a lot going for it at the moment, in terms of choice.
Cheers

We have a few GZG pieces, but most of our 15mm SF vehicles are from Pld Crow.
We picked up a few useful bits from Brigade Models too:

We have (some very old) figures from Tabletop & Asgard, plus a few Traveller figures, but it was the Critical Mass ones that we thought look really promising.

(Although Alasdair is currently working out a list of GZG stuff for District 9 style games)

I've some Old Crow as well.  Nice models.

The Critical Mass figures are very nice, with excellent detail.  Just basing and undercoating some 30+ myself today, as well as trying to get chance to assemble another of their walkers.  So little time, so many figures to paint... !!    lol

Kind regards

Great work Vulture.

I love those new Grav Tanks and that camo scheme looks brilliant!!!

I can't say that I've ever looked into 15mm before for any setting so I've got no idea about rules sets or manufacturers, but those gravtanks and walkers look brilliant no doubt helped by the very good paint jobs.

Just noticed you posted up your excellent stop-motion work! Good to have you here Vulture.

You really ought to include a link to your fine blog in your signature....

Interested to know what rule-set or sets you use to play with your lovely 15mm toys?
