Very nice Chris,

there is something amazing about the two of us ...

Are you actually in unconscious telepathic contact?
I think we should be told!  ;)

I'd like to think it's a classic if productive case of "great minds think alike".  :D

Excuse me?!? Even though I went home for the holidays to savour my mother's excellent cuisine, my posterior did NOT increase in size; therefore, I wholeheartedly reject the supposition that my bottoms are particulary broad this winter!

Great work, Chris! I have some of the old Copplestone Grenadier barbarians - though mine don't look half as good as yours  :(

I really need some more soon.

Very nice painting, Chris. The Copplestone Barbarian-range is one of my all-time-favourites, and for years I think about starting my own ice-warrior army similar to the one Alex did some time ago. I would base them on the "Ice and Fire"-series by George R.R. Martin and his ice-warrior host. Ahhh, so many projects, so little time ...

Hi,
also italian company  Mirliton (Florence) put back into production the Grenadier serie of FANTASY WARRIORS miniatures, almost all of them. For the army of the Barbarians, at our suggestion, Mirliton put into the catalog, for the Barbarian army, also the Cimmerians Cavalry, mounted on a tiger.
The site of Mirliton (also in English) is:
http://www.mirliton.it/
http://www.mirliton.it/index.php?cName=fantasy-2528mm-barbarians

For our fantasy world of NARAN, we made special units and individuals for the Cimmerians (Barbarian army).
Here are some pictures of a battle where the Cimmerians were deployed against the Naran Imperial Legion:
the link to the page is:

Good sight!
Bye

I must have some of those tiger-mounted chaps!  :-*

I like the way you have done different colours and patterns for the tigers. The grey version is especially attractive and is an idea I will have to steal  ;)

Hi, Gluteus Maximus,
please, could you explain me what does it means "chaps"?
My google-translator do not translate it into italian! :(

You may order by mail the Cimmerians Tigers Riders to Mirliton.
Bye
Sergio

"Chaps" is a colloquial term for men, often used in the meaning of "guys", "buddies" or "friends", all used colloquially. I think "compagno" is a rough equivalent for the singular "chap".

lovely armies and interesting scenarios
romans vs barbarians.....

btw
chap (n.)
1577, "customer," short for obsolete chapman (see cheap). Colloquial sense of "lad, fellow" is first attested 1716 (cf. slang tough customer).
