I scanned the image printed on a DVD of the TV series, then I printed the picture and I glued it on a sheet of plywood, then with a fretsaw I cut out the stargate.

Very good! It wouldn't be a proper Italian scenario without at least two beautiful brunettes!   ;)

I like the Italian troopers - who makes them?

Please post more pics of future games  :)

Hi, Glueus Maximus,
surely you must be very lucky. We, in Italy, we say that one has .... the name you've chosen as nikname, to say that he is very lucky. ;)
Please, let's forget about tittle-tattlesl, here's to you the information you asked:
thumbnails of the Italian soldiers are produced by Venex Miniatures:
http://www.venexiaminiatures.com/
D&P Minis Modern Forces (Italian & French)
http://www.venexiaminiatures.com/serie6.htm

Regarding whether to post more pictures, I have put only one for each scenary not wanting to clog the forum. Matakishi, what do you think about iti? For me no problem. :)
Bye,
Sergio

Indeed, we have in mind to made a sfx-futuristic scenario inspired by the films of Tarantino and Rodriguez (Sin City, Planet Terror, Grindhouse, etc..), to use the very fine miniatures of the beautiful girls of Copplestone.

Bye,
Sergio

Sadly in the UK I'm usually very unlucky. Maybe I should move to Italy  ;)

Don't worry about clogging up the forum! We all love to see nice figures. The time to worry is when the Professor tells us all to stop  :D

I've heard of Venexia - I have some of their 15mm Renaissance figures, but I didn't realise they do 28mm modern stuff. Thanks for the link

Hi, Dexter,
congratulations, very well done.

A further clarification in response to the question posted by Gluteus Maximus, I precise that I made my woody stargate by cutting out two models from the sheet of plywood, so to have both the front and the back, then I glued the two parts together. With a rasp I then leveled the small differences due to the operation of cutting them with a fretsaw.
The stone base: I made it using sheets of polystyrene foam, then I pasted above  a thin layer of modelling pastes (DAS), glued with Vinavil; while it is still fresh I engraved on it the lines of separation and signs due to weather and time, to simulate stones.

I've seen Necrons repurposed as Terminators but SG Jaffa is a new one.  ;)

It looks like you had fun.

What did you use for the DHD?  ???

We have used a GW model of the "beacon for locating" (in italian: faro di localizzamento - I don't know the exact english GW name), as those in the Macragge battle box and others Space Marines boxes.

Bye,
Sergio
