 :o Wow! That’s a real great find… lol
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

EXCELLENT :o
As the vulture flutters down,
The snake sheds it\'s dove,
Willem\'s cutting off his fingers,
So they\'ll fit into the glove.... http://captaingeneral.co.uk

sorry, didn't want to slip into politics or such
it is just that it makes me pysically sick
not hunting as such, but killing predators (if not to protects livestock) is pure bloodlust IMHO

"look at me, dumb human, I can kill a polar bear with a bolt action or semiautomatic - big deal
and afterwards I dump the corpse into the sea...."

I apologize

the picture is indeed interesting as it shows how far german submariners got in WWII
I wonder if Dönitz was only phantasizing about the invisible fortress in the arctic

Now that would have been a interesting hunt.  I'm sure those boys ate well for a couple days.

Great pick,
Brian

I wonder how many 9mm bullets it took from the MP40 to take it down.

bad bad idea
unless You are an Innuit who use everything (unlikely on a submarine)
the liver is poisonous, eating the meat would cause trichinosis unless thoroughly cooked, and the fur would rot in weeks in the damp atmosphere of a sub...of course You can eat the blubber
as for the hunt....
well, since I don't expect a landing party (and the bear is displayed on deck), I'd rather expect it was isolated on an Ice plate as often happens - so more of a sitting duck....

better hunt a prey animal, these at least are used to hiding...

It could of course have attacked the crew while the sub was surfaced and recharging batteries... unlikely, but not impossible.

Ok... I have to say it too. Good picture, but Polar Bears are one of my "pet causes". They are amazing, beautiful, intelligent creatures. Real sad to see one in that state. A shame.

Or....perhaps this explains the mysterious disappearance of "Major Morpher," a little known American war hero whose ability to change shape allowed him to conduct espionage missions behind enemy lines. He vanished while on campaign against the Nazi U-Boat menace...

Heh:) Good one!

I don't object to Hammers posting it. It's a very period appropriate picture. Just makes me a little sad.

I see - that's the reason for the insane Nazi smirk

but his GF, the also famous changeling Betty "the Beaver" managed to escape and take revenge, together with the Bear Jew ;) (who actually was a changeling too)

btw, I don't object either - this is reality (but it makes me sick...)

is there any Info to the pic?
