Prehistoric Lost World adventures
« on: January 21, 2010, 03:38:02 PM »
I'm not sure where best to post this so I've plumped for PULP as I've seen a few references to Lost World in here.
Does anyone use Tooth & Claw for this? If so are you happy with it? Are the other 2 rule books, Saurian Safari, and Mammalian Mayhem additions to it rather than standalone products?
Finally - a UK supplier?

There - not asking much am I?! ;-)

Wonderful pictures folks - some really inspiring stuff.

Thanks very much.

Don't have Tooth and Claw, but I do have Saurian Safari, and it isn't an addition to anything - it is a stand-alone game (with a supplement of its own). I'm not sure what the relationship is between it and Tooth and Claw.

What I meant was whether they use the same basic system (the way .45 Adventure, Gloire, Broadsword Adventures and, er, the other one under the hood have the same motor) or if they were unrelated as far as the mechanism goes.

I don't have Tooth and Claw, but from what Chris has said, they are not the same.

Thanks Plynke - I was thinking SS was an expansion to T&C to include dinosaurs, and then maybe MM was further beasties for T&C...

In M&M players control the critters, whereas in Tooth and Claw they are controlled by the system. So, if you want a competitive game wherein someone's playing each side, I'd go M&M. It's what I use for prehistoric big game hunting. Of course, there are no dinosaur stats in it.

No I'm thinking adventurers encountering dinosaurs and mammoths/sabre toothed tigers....so I think I might need T&C and SS then.
