This is my first LPL and I've been fortunate enough to be able to put up a new team every round and tho it's been a slog (setting the alarm clock for the early hours to apply the matte coat was a low point) it's been most beneficial.  By the time Round 10 is in I will have painted 68 minis (human and animal) and 1 small vehicle, all in approx 70 days as I started in the week before the first deadline.  1 mini a day doesn't sound much but I wouldn't have been able to do it without the discipline of the comp.  Also, as well as making progress with my F&IW project, it has helped me to improve the quality of my painting as I have taken on board comments and studied the work of competitors.  :)
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 38
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

It has been a real slog this year. Away for four days in the middle didn't help, that's why I missed a round.
At the end of it I will have painted the final units (at the moment) of my British army and a big chunk of my Chinese army. Its been a great boost for getting my VSF gaming off the ground. As shown by the couple of recent games I have managed during the time as well. Again this year has forced me to reduce my lead pile. Aways a good thing because it lets you buy more guilt free. :D
Already got a couple of things due in the mail :D

I managed to get 9 out of 10, just my League was a previously published one to get a feel of how they would do.  First year I entered, and I must say it was a blessing for me as a lot of sideprojects like the Heru archers of this week actually got done...

Next year, i`ll be back (with better ideas on how to take pictures et all)

Is it me or are there more entries repeating week after week this year? A little disappointing, really.

Agreed, esp. as the contest was started as an exercise in getting your minis painted, rather than a talent show. Now I do love some of the excellence we've seen, but I think that new entries for every contestant, at least every other round, should be a must.

I've managed a new entry for every round so far.

While I have some models I can enter for round ten, I have something VSFy I hope to get finished in time.  So things are looking good for ten new entries and most, hopefully all of the bonus rounds.  :)

Well I managed to paint something new each round. I forgot to attatch the picture for round 9 when I sent it though. Just have to finish the bases on my Martians for round 10, then take pictures.

Just primed my VSF entry. Hooray!

Just realised I primed my VSF entry with gloss black and it's swamped all the details. Hooray!

I need to know this as well.
I have one big thing ¾ finished :'(
One smaller thing ¾ finished :'(
And five guys and a horse half finished. :'(
Normally it would take me about two weeks to finish this amount so it is going to be a busy night and all of tomorrow. :'(
Hopefully managed to get it all finished by tomorrow night. (Where the knackered icon)

Painting everything in real time has been hard.  The past few weeks have been particularly so with the submitted items a bit more rushed than I would have liked.

As I am out tonight and at Salute all day tomorrow I've had even less time for the final round.  Finished painting late last night and had an early start this morning to get the photos done before work.  I just need to email the entry when I get home.
Sunday will definately be a day of rest this week.  :)

No new entry from me for round 10, I am afraid. All tapped out from tending to Can O'Beer, the Littlest Hammers and his brother. Since there've been several people helping me out with minis for this entry I feel obliged to complete it and will do so but at a later date.
