British Cavalry for the Indian Mutiny.

I have just completed two new units of cavalry to reinforce the British army for an Indian Mutiny collection, featured elsewhere on this forum. Here they are; the 1st King's Dragoon Guards and the 9th Lancers.

When you come to Crete? I am afraid that these days there is not much sun available (it is still winter and they expect some more winter next week, be prepared!)

Thanks for the kind words fellas. Arg, yes they are Foundry, but I mounted 'em on ACW horses as the Mutiny ones are very wussy and static. Plus there is no horse furniture worth mentioning. I liked the idea of saddlebags etc, especially if going on campaign. Hopefully Crete won't be so cold in July.

The ACW saddlery doesn't look wrong to me - but then I'm no expert. It's always best to have campaign troops laden with all sorts of necessary stuff.

From the style of basing, am I to assume you are going to use a variant of Lord Of The Rings rules, or is it just on aesthetic grounds?

Purely aesthetic, although the collection was originally intended to be for skirmish only. Therefore all figures are individually based. The infantry are based on coins, so I based the cavalry on round washers to match. However it has now grown to massive proportions, so large movement trays were made as well. The rules are a variant of a set by the Two Fat Lardies, "Sharpe Practice", with home grown add ons.
