Steamspider Mk2
« on: February 04, 2010, 11:38:55 PM »
Finally got around to building the second Steamspider (yes I know it only has 6 legs). As I'm actually doing the Wild West Mad Science force at last I'll be making some of the constructions that have been on hold.

This build was far easier than the first was as I already knew what I was doing. Gone for twin gatlings on this one rather than the electro-gun and put a proper boiler on the back. The white disks on the back will be painted as guages.

I've already been through how it was built last time but actually took some photo's of it unpainted this time :)
Of course, any questions, please ask.

So many projects..... so little time.......

These spiders are cracking stuff. It will be an honour to serve along side them.
Don't!

Dewbakuk, my LAF-Fu has deserted me - I can't find where or when you explained how you made it? Can you remember what the topic was? I am really interested in how you did that.

I'm failing too, I'm sure it was just called steamspider. Oh well, I shall do a proper write up then. It'll have to wait until I'm somewhere with a comp though. I can only type so well on an iPhone :)

Great stuff! I'd also love to see a writeup.

I went for the easy option of buying a spider tank from Ramshackle games but this would go alongside it so well!

They do. I have a Ramshackle Spider as their big brother version. I made the first one before that came out though.

Very nice. Where did you get the multifaceted orange bit from? I've a vehicle in mind that could use something just like it. :)
