I think you're right Willie... certainly there seems to be the Sangre y Oro banding on the M36 'Euskadi' turret, so it's a captured specimen by the looks of things. Certainly the guy in the photo seems to be wearing a German sidecap rather than a Gorillo.
AFAIK the tank commonly known as the 'Trubia' was this one;
That (the lovely picture that Jim has posted here) is indeed the one usually referred to as a "Trubia". The Euskadi/Euzkadi was officially known as the "Trubia-Naval M36", which may account for some of the confusion seen in both contemporary sources and modern books, etc.
The Trubia shown was based upon the French FT-17. The Euzkadi, and it's cousin, which essentially looks like a backwards Euzkadi with a rear facing Hotchkiss Machine Gun (Jim was the one who shared the image with me, and for the life of me, I can't think of the name of the bleedin' thing), were based upon the Landesa tractor, which was very popular in Northern Spain owing, among other things, to its stability in hilly terrain. Unfortunately, the extra armor tended to make the engine wheeze like a ninety year old smoker (if there is such a thing). The solution was to mount a massive fan to keep the thing cooled; this did work to a certain extent, but the noise was quite unpleasant, and crews reported that they couldn't stand to be near it for more than thirty minutes at a time...
Incidentally, if anybody is still interested, these have been very popular models, and we are still stocking them over at Black Army. I'm more than happy to send some in any direction.
