Urban Camo Space Marines

Snapped a few pics of these last night.  Some of you may have seen them already on Frothers.

My Assault space marines in urban camo:

Very well done! They look much better "cammed-up" than in silly bright "here I am - shoot me quick" colours  ;)

My son recently told me off for painting my Tau in desert camouflage. He's only 10, so i'll let him off  lol

Lovely old sculpts, and a great paint job. It's always nice to see practical looking Space Marines.

Yep, they are really nicely painted. The camo is just great.

lovely stuff,

takes me back to the ethos of rogue trader when I thought that space marines would change their colours to suit their surroundings.

like them a lot

Hurray! Camo-Marines!

I like 'em, especially the different armour marks.

Nice stuff.  The angular pattern works well on the rounded armour.

Space Marines really do look better in camo.  I painted these two up to accompany a Blackhawk Down-based scenario in Ragnarok a few years ago.

Of course, the US Army had already changed its camo by then, so I never completed a squad.
Back from the dead, almost.

Very nice work cosmotiger! I've seen some of them before but not all, the paintjob is very smooth 8)

Steve F> Your take on them is rather nice as well though I think the effect would have been stronger without the black kneepads.

I like desert camo on Space Marines.  Reminds me of the Rogue Trader days.

Excellent Steve! I much prefer this camo scheme to the one the US army used later.

Finish the squad! Who cares if the camo isn't the same as todays - it looks great on your Space Marines  :D

I like desert camo on Space Marines.  Reminds me of the Rogue Trader days.

I had a squad of spacewolves in that similar desert camo, 'Covert' on the sgt's back banner. Basically, using artwork from the book of the astronomicon supplement, where a squad of space wolves were waitng in ambush for an Ork buggy convoy.

Them's were the days!   :'(
