F&IW non-combatant combatants
« on: February 15, 2010, 06:37:06 PM »
Here are a few more of the figures I used in my BLAM F&IW game not so long ago... The Colonel and his entourage.

The Colonel is Front Rank's Duke of Cumberland, and the womenfolk are a mix of Redoubt and Brigade Games (Mr Hicks' excellent work).

Recently released (rather prematurely ::)) from duties in Steve Dean's current painting competition...   ;)

Lovely as always. I'm particularly taken with the color of the Colonel's horse. Would you mind sharing the colors used?

They are a lovely bunch and were quite hard to subdue I seem to recall :)

Thanks  :)

vampire23 - the three serving wenches are from Redoubt. The two 'ladies' are from Brigade Games pirates / swashbucklers range.

Aaron - the horse is painted with good old GW Bestial Brown (black undercoat, then a base layer of Bestial Brown with a bit of black in it, then a layer of neat BB, then a couple of successive highlight layers with gradual amounts of white mixed into the BB). It's one of my favourite horse colours, and very easy to do.

Thanks Captain. I love Beastial Brown also, but I normally use it as a base coat for things like flesh and yellow. I'll have to give it a try on the next horse I attempt.
