Beautiful stuff, Jimbibbly...and unless I am incorrect, you are referencing the GUndam animes with your numbering system...I KNOW that RGM-79 was one of the Gundams...this one, in fact...

Lovely, I'd love to see a Japanese tank which the armour reflects the Samurai style more.
Not like Gundam and all that though. Think traditional.  :)

I really like the concepts, love the Infantrymen.

And we have a winner. But don't worry, there are some rather more traditional looking Gundam out there (the SD ones spring to mind) so armour will be of the laquar and lace type  :D

Being the dozy bugger I am, I didn't take any wip photos, but I will be with the secret project  ;)

cheers

Nice work James.

I would consider it an honour for my Japanese army to fight alongside yours. Maybe some time later this year we should organise a big grudge match between the British (Malamute, Thunderchief (or the other forum member from Shropshire) and whatever help they can find) and the Japanese (the combined armies of you, Mors and myself) ;)

Beautiful stuff, Jim.

Can I ask what you used to build those lovely tanks?

Great concept James.

Have you looked at Urban Mammoth Triad as base figures?

They have  a couple of Shogun battlesuits including one with a Naginata and even a small Rocket launcher.

Too pulp/sci-fi?  ???

Oh, that is so beautifully done - and I love both the Gundam and Ghost in the Shell nods by the steam walkers.

Anything to do with that damn gun? :)

DOH!!!!!  ;D

I've seen the urban mammoth suits and they are a bit too sci-fi but I quite like the rocket launcher. If anyone has seen 'Kishin Haiden' they will know what I'm planning next  ;)

They are made from chemiwood (which is a machinable resin compound), acrylic and a few bits and bobs.

cheers

OMG! Featureless aliens with PPSH's molded into their forearms?!? A transforming cuddly amphibious giant robot (à la Kishin Dragon)? The Kanto Army Prototype?!? A "Panzer Knight" size samurai mech?!?

(I seriously hope, though, that you refrain from doing a Hans Rienger figure. I cannot really see how he'd fit in a VSF setting, and while his bionic arm in the last episode was more than nifty, after all those years I cannot get over that mane of hair of his'.)

Cannot wait to see the things to come. I had actually planned to do some with those new 1930s Pulp Japanese seen elsewhere, but you've obviously outpaced me (I actually did a model of Kishin Dragon some ten years ago, but it fell foul of a too-vigorous dusting attempt and I somehow never got it back together again). I still want to do a proper Panzer Knight for my 3W2 stuff sometime (with Wagnerian helmet and cloak, and that missile launcher... I guess I'd replace that swastika, though). Man, now you've got me thinking.

Nope, no naff plotless aliens  :D Just some BIG steam mechs (with a possible train to carry them on  ;)  ;) )

Glad someone else has seen it  ;D

cheers
