good game - bad photos!
« on: February 28, 2010, 11:53:56 AM »
Hello

my chums and I had our first ever RCW game last week.  We tried out Triumph of the Will by the TFL. Game flowed well and the objective of getting all my newly-painted figures on the table was achieved! Simple scenario - Whites dismantling important industrial machinery from the People's 97th Beetroot Processing Factory. Reds trying to stop them before they can get away with the Borschspigot!

I painted all the RCW figures over Christmas when we had some really bad weather (for us). Maybe next time I will start a new project based around an army that fought in sunnier climate!

The gun is a plastic kit of Russian manufacture that I picked up at a local wargames show recently. Not sure who though - I think it is by a firm called ACE. It's actually modelled as a WW1 putilov anti-aircraft gun, balanced on a wagon-wheel like structure. You get a limber for it as well. Add a couple of spare RCW gunners and it looks cool. Useless, but cool.

Those photos aren't very bad at all, although perhaps try turning off the flash next time. My game photos are always awful.

A very nice looking game indeed! Where are the banners from?

Who is the maker of that building in the pic next to the tanks?

Figures are mainly Copplestone but the blacxk uniformed unit pictured is made up of Old Glory, Musketeer and a Brigade Games officer. I also have a few Pulp figures from Pulp miniatures and Artizan (I think).

Thanks for that.  Lovely site, but not well known.  Do you want to post the link for other LAFers on a specific thread?
