Wheels for my (steam) wagons?
« on: March 05, 2010, 12:27:07 PM »
Ok I have some old GW Ork wheels some wheels from that nice Mr Ironclad and a few lego/kids toy type stuff, but what I ready would like are a number of "tractor" type wheels from the early day's -the types spikes and "bumps" for grip, sort of pre puematatic tyres.
So what I need is either a UK based seller of these items seperate or someone from the rest of the World (USA?) that posts to the UK (without prices that make me wince). i don't need a whole tractor just the wheels, any help? thanks
gan canny kidder!

Ramshackle do a whole bunch, under 'tridlins' in their shop iirc... I've got some stashed in my bits box with that sort of conversion in mind...

Charity shops or pound shop farm sets are another option.

Car boot sales or jumble sales are even better - you can haggle the price down "because the paintwork is scratched" or it's dented etc.

forgot about Ramshackle but I have a few stashed away but still not quite what I'm after.
charity and pound shops are ok (after a come out with bags of "bargains after only looking) but the only options I find are the "modern" types with rubber tyres and this not much in the way of jumble sales/car boot in my area.

Price may be a issue but Brigade Games have some spare wheels in there Gaslight range, service to the UK normally pretty good and reasonable. The resin ones appear to be spiked sort of.
