Thats a good idea i had planned on doing the old Samurai Style Shoulder Guards but i reackon i could do some other bits as well.

Going to grab these from club this evening and see what steps to make i've decided the barrel weapons with me 3 shot pom pom's so they don't over power it..But as i think i've got 3 of them i can do different things with each one :D

Become who you really are... [/i]

Okay cracked open one of these yesterday in between keeping the kids from driving my wife insane.

Found a very old Adeptus Mechanicus arm which is for the left hand so going to pop the weapons off and swap the barrel's over to the right.

As for Rivets what,s the best way to go about adding more as the body is so smooth it'll not fit in.

Imagine what parts might have been cast and then rivet those together, they don't have to be on every part.

That's my plan but more wondering what to use for the rivets as i don't want them to be overly big..

I've seen people push through the plastic to get the effect but i can't really do that with these.

If you can find plastic coctail sticks that are round or wooden tooth picks-take a sharp hobby knife and make thin cuts through the middle sections(you can use about half the stick before it begings to taper out to be too narrow .  You will get quite a few "rivets" that you can attach with a good glue.

Good god that sounds fiddly!

Sounding good lupus, I like the idea of it being a diving suit, but I really want to see the samurai-esque one!  :D

Same idea really but use thin plastic rod. Use a really sharp knife with a good point to pick up the cut off slices and to put in place. Not sure what the plastic is like on these models but I imagine super glue will work best. Pour out a small blob on to an old blister pack and then use a cocktail stick to put spots of glue where you want the rivets. I find that if you do them in, say, batches of five you can pick up and attached five rivets before the super glue sets.

Thats how I done the rivets on this

Cocktail sticks now thats an idea i have a Sainsburys near me at work i might go for a wander at lunch time.

Here's some piccies to show what i've done so far not much i know but it was the rivet element that is going to take me a long old while.

I need to work out how to put some sort of a ring around the smoke stack which should be fun as me and any modelling putty don't mix :D

@Gamer mac the plastic is pretty hard to be honest i'd say more solid than GW plastic and thanks for the link as well.

@Rob after i have done number 1 i feel i may need another with a big sword so might go full on Samurai looking for that :D

I'm tempted to say that the material used is a hard vinyl, as with most pre-painted toys. Superglue'll be fine on them. I'd recommend thin plastic rod aswell, cocktail sticks might splinter when cutting them into discs and you might spend more time trying to cut decent ones rather than sticking them on.

Yeah could well be there jimbibbly.

Well i just sat and cut a few matchsticks up i have a ling bladed knife that's great for these sorts of things though its still going to take me a while to do all i need.  I might be forced to cut back on the amount of rivets i was thinking on.  I guess i'll see when i start adding them :D

Yeah, I'd try rods of plasticard. I think I'll be doing that...

Good start Jez! Is that hand from an old HAVOK miniature? I have loads of them. Used to buy them when I was young! Wouldn't catch me hacking them up though.  ;D

No mate the hand is from a Adeptus Titacus Titan that's been in my bits box forever..I have a pile of the weapons as well.  Plan on using some for the 3rd one as Maxim's or something so that i have an Anti Infantry style Walker.

I might look about for plastic rod as well but as i have no where near i'll have to see if i can source online which gets expensive if you need a small amount.

Would Antenociti's workshop not send you something if you emailed them specifically?

Ahhh, Warlord Titan. I got confused when you said adeptus mechanicus...  ;D
