Salute 2009 Miniature
« on: March 18, 2010, 04:28:25 AM »
Hi Guys,

Last year Paul Ward was kind enough to send me the Salute 2009 miniature.

I figured that for Michael's birthday I'd paint up the minaiture as a pressie for his birthday. This gift has a six degrees of separation as both Michael Broadbent and Paul Ward are very good friends an at one time they gamed together in the UK. Michael of course saw the sunny side of Australia and made it his home.

So anyway, here are some photos of the miniature. Sorry for the photographs.

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Looking good, H. You should do more colonials (I would say that, wouldn't I?).

The wall behind the huts is very impressive, that'll definately stop the cattle from straying.   ;)

Thanks Guys for your kind words. This genre is very new to me.

Due to the nature of the design for both minaitures I'd to take some artistic liberties with the brushwork.

Hi Guys,

Michael managed to take a couple of photos of the vignette which is far superior than mine effort:
