My Future Wars project
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:04:10 AM »
Some of these have already been shown elsewhere, but I thought I'd collect them here.

First off, the robots:

Troopers:

and their toys:

More when I get them painted, terrain coming up too.

Your pictures are all just thumbnails so I cant see the figures properly.

Which is a pity, as they look very promising!

Hi Marko,

looking great! Unfortunately, you seem to have linked the thumbnail images only!  ;)

You can fix the problem by editing your post, specifically the image addresses:

http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/y301/markooja/Future%20Wars/th_TrooperDragoon2.jpg

The above is the current address for one of the thumbnail images. I highlighted the "th_" before the image name which needs to be removed to see the full image.

Much :)

I really like the colour scheme that you used for the not-Terminators.  I am honestly tired of seeing the same oily gunmetal look.

Those Old Crow vehicles look great too.  Overall it loooks like a great project.  What rules will you be using to game with them?

Flying Lead. Actually, nearly all of the terrain is done too, but what I do need is a playing surface which for some reason just isn't coming together. I'm pretty sure I want it to be 1x1m, but can't seem to find a suitable picture frame anywhere.

I'll use the same table for my Greek myth stuff, that's why I went with a sandy base in case someone is wondering.

And about the Old Crow stuff - I've had those for at least two years, never figuring out what exactly I wanted to do with them. Now that I got those painted I realise I'd really like to get a Goanna and perhaps one more Gecko, preferrably a pickup. Anyone have extras? I 've got a spare Dragoon (maybe even with a tank turret, can't remember for sure) that I'm not going to need...

Flying Lead

I am playing my inaugural game of Flying Lead this weekend actually.  I am playing MiB vs Little Green Men.  I am looking forward to it.

nearly all of the terrain is done too

Hopefully you will put up some photos of the terrain/game in progress too :)

Marko, your work is supurb. I am very partial to those Grenadier/EM-4 troopers; they have to be my all-time favorite human sci-fi trooper lines. Very nice! The vehicles and droids are great too. Those Old Crow vehicles are lookign more tempting all the time...

It's a Mongoose Starship troopers CHAS. Not too easily available I guess, I bought the last one from our lfgs. Not cheap either, 15€, but I thought it looked appropriate..

Yeah, I would rank them among my very favorites of all time, too.

thanks all,

the EM4, just like the later Copplestone robots, are very nice. Not too many poses, but doesn't really matter here - they're robots, so a degree of uniformity can be expected, right.

The troopers are just excellent. Once Doug gets more of the currently out-of-stock ones I know I want to get them - at least the tech trooper, and... What makes the lot of them extra nice is the price, and reasonable shipping.
