Sorry Prof. It was my (possibly mistaken) understanding that these denizens of New South Wales all know each other (from forums such as The Rum Corps Tavern  if not in actual real life), and it was more in the nature of friendly banter and gentle ribbing than anything else.

For myself I was just larking around. No intention of seriously lecturing anyone about their grammar, or trying to influence voting on my part. Got carried away in the moment. Sorry!
