Trench Board Images
« on: March 23, 2010, 03:28:36 AM »
Hi,

I've been using the search function but to no avail.

I'm sure I saw a post or link that showed a how to guide for the boards pictured in "Through Mud and Blood".
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Nick,

There are quite a few descriptions of great trench terrain on the LAF site, but if you want the "Through the Mud and the Blood" boards, try here:  http://sidneyroundwood.blogspot.com/

I got half-way before getting busy at work, but I'm hoping to finish the description of the boards over the Easter weekend.

Thank you both for your replies.

Sidney  I had already saved your site as a key resource. And Cpt Blood excellent attention to detail. It's a shame that the GWM site isn't showing it's table pics?

In NZ it's near impossible to get your hands on pink and blue foam, which would be so much better to work with than polystyrene.
But hopefully in the next few mnths I will have a functioning table as well.

Hi Nick , I'm not sure where in NZ you are but Gordon Harris , The Art & Graphics Store , www.gordonharris.co.nz
sell sheets of blue foam . I live in Wellington and have no problem getting hold of it.

I'm working on one and collected a bunch of tutorials through heavy googling at my Painting advice page.

Muskie can you post a link to your painting advice page?

Maybe we should put some of these trench board links in the Trench sticky above?

Or clicking on the words painting advice...  I think the theme at Lead Adventure Forum chose a very poor colour for link text...

Here is a link to the blog post showing the completed second trench tile:

Hooray for the feature showing all replies to my posts though...

My table is a long way from done, but I did up two more entrenchments.  One was made by Snap Dragon the other I built to match in size at least.  Inspecting the trenches are various test models I've painted to try and get the hang of WW1 colours.
