Just think of them as investments for the future and file under loft insulation, or as my better half would have it, more kak.

My stuff is spread between 3 houses. I dream one day of having a study with all my kak in one place. My better half has threatened to buy me a cargo container to store all my stuff.

Bosh! He scores a Peacekeepr robot!

Think he'll be doing support duty for my Aruk mercenaries. Only one in the store or I would have stocked up for the rest of you, sorry.

I did however, find some Planet 51 pulpy saucer car things, like these from the movie:

Two in a pack for 99p. Got a cop car and one based on a Willy's Jeep. Nice. (Can't find a pic on the web though.) Just the right size for putting that seated Copplestone Grey in.

And three months too late, considering I've just built a little saucer craft for him.  >:(

Never mind, I can always buy some more...

They sound promising.  A cheap way to populate a sci-fi city with some car-saucers sounds really great.  Two in a pack for 99p sounds unbelievably good.

If you get a chance then I would love to see a picture.  When you say that they are just the right size for the Copplestone grey to sit in, does that mean that they look a bit small for a "normal" sized human figure to sit in?

You shouldnt have any regrets about that scratch built saucer Jollybob, its awesome  8)

Yup, they are too small for a 28mm human, but that Grey should pop right in, or at least with minimal cutting. According to the back of the package, there are several different sets, one with a groovy hover tank contraption in, and another with a VW style hover-camper. Looks like I'll be checking out Home Bargains a lot in the next couple of weeks.

I'll try to take a picture later on if I get chance.

And I don't regret building the saucer, its just that if these had been around earlier, I could have saved some skin off my thumbs...   lol

Here we go, sorry for the pics being a bit fuzzy, doing them on the fly.

The two saucer-cars I got, next to the homemade one I did for scale:

And the back of the pack, showing the other vehicles in the set:

Gonna have to look out for the others now.  :)

The cars are on rollers/wheels, but are held together with screws so should come apart relatively easily. There is a roller/ball bearing in the centre, which when removed will leave a perfect hole for a flight stand.

Its almost like they knew we'd want them!
