OK,

I got my ninja now!

But I'm really puzzled about them... should they be white or black?

Black is soooo  difficult to make good looking I think. But it's very classic ninja style. White is sooo much easier to make nice, but less class. Tell me what you think!

I've seen ninja's in all sorts of colours in movies, so go with what you think will look nice. :)

Sorry, they got to be black. Looks like you are in for the rough ride.
To paint black it might be easier to actually paint the model white first and then just use lots and lots of black washes on it. I used that with some Nazgul models to good effect.

Ninjas wore black to disappear into the night.  So maybe yours can be Polar Ninjas, who wear white to disappear into the snow.

I voted black, but on second thought... Red, white and blue are all viable in a camp setting. Adding coloured ninja by definition makes the setting camp, but as you already mix vikings, owlbears and Skithögen I wouldn't worry too much about that. ;)

but if you're going to go for camp ninjas you may as well go the full hog and paint them pink - 'Carry On the Viking'

Lets see,

Vikings,
Ninjas,
Owlbears

Your taking everything that's freaking awesome and putting it in one game. You need zombies, pirates (non-Viking ones), robots and t-rexs to finish the span of cool.

Loving the painting btw.

In the old Frank Miller Daredevil/Elektra stories there were red ninjas. They looked pretty cool.

What about the grey-clad ones in "You Only Live Twice". That's a nice neutral shade and pretty easy to make a good job of.

Nice to see the old LOTR Beorn figure in the first pic on this thread   :D

Lovely vikings (As if such hairy, manly brutes could be described as "lovely"...) I like the way you painted the shields, especially. That's a very nice effect.

You could go and colour-code you ninja's by lethality?
Black = your run of the mill, average assasin
Grey = more deadly
White = most deadly.
Yellow = pushovers
etc.
Or you could use certain colours to denote special skills or mystical abilities; green can move through trees/bushes freely, red have a mystical fire attack, etc.
Don't tell the players the code, let them figure it out by themselves...
As an added bonus, you create some variety for yourself when painting.  ;)

Please add either pirates or Castle Anthrax from Monty Python as well...  :D

Dinosaurs are so bloody 90s, but maybe that's reason enough to make them an option? =)

LOL! Aliens with rayguns were in my thoughts at a point... but for now I'm sticking to owlbears and ninjas. I like the idea of cavemen or perhaps denfenseless sheep, priests & monks?

Yes, I think I've had enough dinosauring in another genre that I game  ;) (VSF)

Oh well, looks like popular vote has settled it: The Ninja Will Be Black!

I think I'll do it the clever way with a black undercoat, black grey basecoat and grey highlights.
