...and I have to attend my mother-in-law's birthday   >:(

Seeing such a nice table and learning more about the truth behind cool bands makes me feel rather annoyed by that...
Oh, well, she's a nice lady and I'll try to be all nice and supportive. Anyway, I wish you guys the best of luck and have lots of fun.

What can I say. You need not worry. The game was a total flop...

...as I constantly had people who wanted to play and took all my gaming time! I was even forced to bring it to Tactica now. Muahaha!

Rules are way too complicated to memorize. For every damn action you need to consult a million tables with modifiers. The table was too small and didn't offer any space for complex maneuvres. At least the miniatures and terrain were OK.

You see, Danes are not the only ones good at lying  lol

Just a short threadomancy message:

A huge thank you to all the players who had a game with me at the short time I had at the Tactica and to the arrangers of the Tactica.

There were a lot who took pictures, and I hope that some of them will find their way to this thread.

Especially the game with the Future instalment was funny I think.  lol

I hope to get the Vikings to new frontiers during 2011, I'm even considering Crisis and Gubspel Galore but it all depends.

Ask, and Ye Shall Receive!
I just searched the Internet for your rule-set and found this thread. I am the guy with the red shirt and we played the future setting and it was awesome. Actually you made me buy a couple of artizan Vikings on the Tactica ;) I want to make a table and play the game in my gaming club with a lot of mead or beer. Thanks for the great Game! Cheers.

And here are the pictures:

And the Vikings you made me buy (on the wooden board, ignore the other stuff):

If you have any written rules, I would love to get them, so we could play this lovely game.
EDIT: Just found the rules on page 8 in this Thread. Thanks

I hope we meet again!

Dhark

Haha!

The internet is great.  :o

I'm happy to see that people are getting the hang of true Viking history.  ;)

(Although calling what I use a rules set is almost offending to... other rules sets!)

You guys were very Viking about the whole game I'd say. Really funny to be a games master in that game.  lol

Oh holy gamemaster! I was the girl next to the boy with the red shirt lol To give my 50 Cents:

I am starting to worship your game. Indeed, it was my first "table top" game I've played. I watched a couple of times when my boyfriend was playing infinity or warhammer 40k and everytime it was boring and confusing. So I got really frightend as I was requested to play as the third party member. I saw a lot of numbers and dices in my mind.
Mercifully after 1 minute of your rule explanations I got excited :D No dices! No tables! Easy rules. I fall in love with your setting and your figures. You're a very good game master (as well as a painter) and everytime I asked myself again what happens next?! I like the role playing character of the game very much!

So my boyfriend and I, we ask ourselves and discuss since 2 days how to "copy" and modify your game. As Dhark said, we bought some vikings the same day. One idea is, to add the very small tanks from "flames of war" as a funny element to the list of enemies. Imagine two littleputian isles having a World War (or better Isle War). The Vikings arrive at one of the both islands. The crew of the tanks think the arriving giants are some kind of Wunderwaffe of the enemy island. One other idea is to settle Zombies on the coast. We'll see how far we come and if you like it we can poste our work here o_o For the futere we hope that you come up with more ideas and getting more and more worshippers like us.

Good work Thorbjørn you've hooked a couple more people and turned them into 'historical' gamers  lol
I'm glad your game was such a success and that you're planning to spread your genius to more shows.

There's girls at gaming conventions?  Post more pictures and I would love to hear about a set of rules with no dice, that a girl who has never played a mini-game could pick up and get excited about in under ten minutes.  Great job.
